This series will ultimately be about sharing my journey with Jesus and declaring his goodness through unpacking my journals.

Hey Everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I cannot believe we are in the 5th month of the year already and 2021 is almost halfway done. I wanted to share a recent journal with you because it highlighted how truly blessed I am to be alive and living life raising two children with my husband by my side.
I am actually in awe of my husband because after working a physically demanding job, he comes home and gives 110% of himself. I am not exaggerating when I say he cooks, cleans and takes care of our children every day. Almond will go for a walk or bike ride to the park around the corner from our house almost every second day, which my children love. God’s light and love is present through my husband as he provides me with the support I need when motherhood gets tough.
Although, I am also very aware that my life is not tough because every day, I wake up with a roof over my head with healthy loved ones in my home, a comfy bed to sleep in, delicious food to eat, a car to drive, and money in the bank to purchase my beloved skinny flat white from my favourite cafe. They are blessings from God, who continually provides for my family and me. He is Jehovah Jireh, my provider! Amen
So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”
Genesis 22:14 NIV
So, I had an ear infection and needed antibiotics which made me sleepy, irritable and not the best functioning human. I was thankful to God that I only live 5minutes away from my family doctor, and I did not have to pay a cent upfront to see her, which is such a double blessing! I also hurt my knee again ( recurring injury from sport), so I decided to retire from running and started rowing instead, which is another blessing because it is so good on my knees! On my first attempt at a 5k row, I got 21:45s, and the other day I got 20:28 which has been so encouraging. I am now motivated to reach my goal of sub 20 minutes and continue on my health journey.

Anyway, I have mentioned that my overall physical and mental health has been an overwhelming aspect of my life that I have juggled and struggled with during different seasons of life. My PCOS season started in 2011 and is something that I have to manage throughout my life with my nutrition, vitamins, exercise and at one point medication. Recently, one symptom which has been rearing its not so nice head has been hormonal acne. I am in my 30’s and the last time I had bad breakouts was when I was a teenager. I changed my skincare routine, but I had to change my attitude because my worth is not based on my appearance. I am not defined by clear skin or breakouts. I was thankful to God that he was healing me from the inside out and reminding me that beauty is fleeting and that i am fearfully and wonderfully made. I needed to acknowledge how blessed I am to be in good health and living a blessed life here on earth. For example, God had actually spared me from surgery twice on my knee when I was told both times by doctors that I needed to get surgery, but a scan revealed it had healed on its own, which is a miracle and a blessing from God!
I believe that is why it is important to give God all the glory and praise through every circumstance! I am overwhelmed and filled with love knowing what Jesus did for me so that I could recieve the biggest blessing of my life which is knowing Jesus as my Lord and saviour. My life would not be what it is today without him in my life. I pray this journal encourages you to reflect on your life and to give God all the glory. Most importantly, to seek the opportunity to know Jesus and receive him into your heart as your Lord and saviour.
